I recently returned from vacationing in Denver and Jacksonville with Marion, and now we are preparing for the sailing season.

Life after high school has been filled with many unanticipated twists and turns. While the direction of my actions has been influenced by many factors, love of family and sports have guided much of my decision making. After graduating from college, I started two careers,both involving working with young boys and girls. I worked for over 20 years as a counselor in the juvenile justice system, and I continue to work as a sports official which I have been doing for over 40 years. I have also worked for over 20 years as a security guard at a retirement home, and numerous other part-time jobs. I was married for 40 years to a lovely lady who lost a long battle to cancer, and we had a son who I am very proud of who was recently married and is soon to become a father. In recent years I have been fortunate to expand my horizons to include travel [Florida where I have a second home,Arizona,California,Colorado,Quebec,and Scotland]. We also ski,sail,bike,and do much socilizing, courtesy of the energy and motivation of my partner and social coordinator, Marion Yarnall. We met 3 years ago at a singles dance and you might say we are a classic example of opposites attracting. You might say she caught my eye immediately and I even changed my name at her suggestion [she was married once to another Bart] to "Mick" during our first dance.

Yo Pete! What ya been up to? Stopped in to see Tom and Darlene recently and they said they enjoyed their visit with you. We have been traveling locally almost every weekend. Working a lot of softball games during the week but starting to get too hot for that. Craig started working at the retirement home where I work. He is working the overnight shift on weekends. I just drop in often enough to keep my name on the payroll. Mike and Marie are doing well and Scarlett is growing fast. I will be going to Florida for about a month and Mike and his best friend are joining me for a men's outing over Labor Day. They have not been down in 5 years so it will be a nice break for them. Sandy has been making more trips to Florida than usual with her roller skating club and to help her friend Vicki who recently purchased a place near Tampa. Marion is as busy as ever and we will be celebrating her "67th" two days before your birthday. Enjoy your "big day" and tell Cheryl we said Hi.
