AGE: 71 • Concord Twp., PA
Evelyn P. Merion, age 71, of Concord Twp., PA passed on to be with her Lord & Saviour unexpectedly on April 12, 2016. Born to the late James Edward & Marietta W. Peterson, she was raised in Marcus Hook, PA and has resided in Concord Twp. for the past 36 years. Evelyn graduated from Media High School, class of 1963. She and her husband John currently own & operate Merion's Produce Hut in Concord Township. In her earlier years, she worked at Little Lambs and The Children's Academy Daycare. Evelyn enjoyed traveling, the beach, gardening, old movies & anything to do with animals.
She left a lasting impression on anyone who came in contact with her and will be truly missed by many. 52 years ago, she married her high school sweetheart who survives her, John C. Merion Jr.. In addition, she leaves behind 2 children, Heather Anderson & Christopher (Janice) Merion, a brother Douglas Peterson and her 4 devoted granddogs that she loved so much.
A visitation will be held on April 15, 2016, Friday, 8:30-10:00AM at St. John's Episcopal Church, 576 Concord Rd., Glen Mills, PA followed by funeral services at 10:00AM. Interment, Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, PA. Donations in her memory may be made to Salvation Army (
